Aerial photography in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico

Taking drone photos of Las Salinas, El Faro, Playa Sucia and Puente de Piedra

The alarm sounds at 6:30am, why didn’t I go to sleep earlier? I press the 10 minute snooze…

Driving and trying to beat the sun (he already won), driving without coffee, half a banana will have to do. First stop «Las Salinas», no drone allow inside… a short fly in the street with some phone photos will have to do.

Now is time for a short but hard road, the cyclists past me in their cool bicycles. The mangroves always look great for photos but I have to keep my eyes on the road, too many potholes.

We arrive at the small parking of the lighthouse, now we walk. Sport clothing and tennis, good decision. Rocky road to keep us awake. Tropical dessert vegetation and to our surprise a lot of birds, they don’t like the drone…

First-time flying in the area, so not taking many risks. We found a good spot to take off and made a few shots.

No birds where harm in this fly

Second spot less birds, not to much wind, just rocks for take off and great views. The ocean was a beautiful aqua-green and the waves said hi.

Puente de Piedra

Two hours go by very fast, will definitely come back. A lot of possibilities for future shots from the sky and land.

Now is time for coffee.
